May 16 Coronet's Magneto is an ever-growing lighting platform

When Coronet launched the Magneto line, we could see it was going to be a useful tool for designers creating versatile spaces. Before I get into some of the updates to Magneto, here are the basics, if you're not familiar.

The Basics

Surface-mounted, recessed or suspended magnetic track utilizing rare-earth magnets.
Coronet-designed modules provide low glare, ambient, accent, and decorative options (more on modules in a minute).
The suspended track is three circuits, two on the track and a third indirect circuit. To change from one circuit to another, simply rotate the module 180 degrees.
All drivers are remote and 0-10v dimming down to 1%

Modules

When Magneto first launched, there were only the most basic modules:

Ambient
Sharp
Accents

In the weird time suspension that has been the last two years, Coronet has quietly added a series of modules to the offering, making Magneto something closer to a lighting platform than a simple track system.

The components that make up Magneto are stocked at the Coronet facility in NJ. Coronet is legendary for its speed and service and Magneto is no exception. This makes Magneto a simple fast and versatile option for any number of applications including co-working spaces, mixed retail, gallery, and event spaces, we've even seen Magneto used in restaurants where seating might shift for events.

Let’s face it we’re all still figuring out the new normal. Spaces are evolving in their purposes and layouts as we all figure out how we’re going to work and play together. Right now we’re talking about flex space and work from home, two years from now we could all be returning to offices. Magneto can transform playful mixed-use space into a bank of small offices, just by changing modules. And in the world of design-build where everything can change in a week. you can go from a design that relied on linear ambient to accent track lighting at the speed needed for fast-moving projects.
