Announcing A Factory Tour With HE Williams - February 19-21
Too often, as lighting professionals we forget that the products we specify are made by people in the real world. They aren’t simply widgets stamped out of the factory and sent to sit in an Amazon fulfillment center. They are built to specification to exacting detail all day everyday in places all around the country and indeed the world.
No factory is a better example of this than HE Williams. Based in Carthage Missouri, Williams is an American own and run manufacturer of lighting fixtures and has been since their inception. I’ve visited the factory twice and every time I go I am blown away by the breadth of the plant and operation.
HE Williams is a NYC School Construction Authority approved manufacturer for interior LED lighting products, and they are one of the most diverse factories I represent at SDA. From high performance troffers to downlights to high bay fixtures and linear form factors, Williams is a diverse factory that can fulfill many parts of the project specification.
That’s why my controls partner Olena Zavragina and I are teaming up to bring our specifiers out to see the plant in person. It’s enormously valuable to see how these pieces are made in person. And get to meet the people behind them.
