Updating Delivered Lumens

Updating Delivered Lumens

If there's been a theme to 2020, it's been - adaptation. It's become a trope to harp on the uncertainty ahead I won't indulge that impulse. Instead, let's talk about what was already happening and what COVID-19 is accelerating. I started Delivered Lumens about 18 months ago because it was already challenging to find time in the schedule to make in-person presentations. Billable hours are valuable; there are more products and frankly, more reps than ever in the NY market vying for your time. Delivered Lumens was set up as a way to keep having the lighting conversation on your schedule.

So as we've all adapted to different working conditions, I've attempted to adapt Delivered Lumens each step of the way. There have been hits and misses for sure. There have been videos in the shed, a host of webinars, and many blog posts. Today, I'm rolling out the first phase of a new initiative.

Personalization.

When there is so much content, not just from me, but from the factories I represent, the trouble becomes navigating such a stream. Over the next few weeks, I'll be rolling out some site redesigns geared toward building an experience that helps you as an individual designer.

The first phase is a brand new home page. The page offers off content by vertical market and a collection of essays. If you're designing an office, you shouldn't have to scroll through every post ever written to find articles and videos on office lighting. By reorganizing the content around specific topics, I'm hoping it will be easier for you to dive in.

I want Delivered Lumens to feel like a destination. A relaxed place to jump in and browse in a curated environment. With that goal in mind, you'll see more customizations rolling out over the next few weeks.
