Premium Display Lighting - Stacko by Luminii

Hi Friends,

This week’s Coffee Break video features another display lighting solution. Stacko is a versatile solution to display lighting that offers amazing light quality in a nimble and changable form factor. Watch the video and leave a comment below to receive your free cup of coffee!

Technical Overview: Precision Lighting Stacko Series

The Stacko series by Precision Lighting, a member of the Luminii family, is a modular, low-voltage display lighting system designed for high-specification retail, gallery, and museum environments. Its primary design intent is to provide multi-directional illumination from a single power point through a stackable architecture.

Mechanical Architecture and Configuration

The system is built around a powered port that supports single-, double-, or triple-head configurations. Each head operates independently with full rotation and tilt capabilities. This mechanical articulation allows designers to address multiple focal planes—such as near and far objects within a single vitrine—simultaneously from one luminaire location.

Optical Performance and Photometrics

Each Stacko head delivers an output of approximately 100 lumens. The system offers four distinct beam angles to facilitate various lighting strategies:

  • Narrow/Spot: 16° and 23°

  • Medium/Flood: 45°

  • Wide/Wash: 90°

Standard color temperatures are available at 2700K and 3000K, with additional CCT options available for project-specific requirements. The modular nature of the stack allows for the mixing of optics and color temperatures within a single assembly, enabling the creation of layered lighting effects or high-contrast visual hierarchies within a compact form factor.

Materiality and Integration

Constructed with a focus on color consistency and rendering accuracy, the Stacko series is suited for applications where material textures and brand-critical colors must be rendered precisely.

  • Standard Finishes: Black and anodized aluminum.

  • Premium Options: Custom finishes are available for integration into bespoke retail or high-end architectural casework.

Specification Considerations

As a UK-engineered product within the Lumini ecosystem, lead times should be factored into the procurement schedule for North American projects. The system is designed for both fixed wash applications and highly adjustable spotlighting, prioritizing versatility in environments where display layouts are frequently reconfigured.
